Hi, Y’all! I’m so happy you found my page. This is a creative space to share my love for personal styling and the fashion industry as a whole.
At a young age, I knew I wanted a career in the fashion industry, but didn’t know which direction I wanted to go, whether that be clothing design or the retail/merchandising side of the industry. I enjoyed fashion editorial, sketching, playing with colors and patterns while spending hours in my closet putting together outfits for myself. I always dreamed of having my own clothing line (and still do!), but life has taken me on a different path.
While spending 3 years after college in the fashion industry as a Store Manager and then a Social Media and Marketing Director, I still felt discouraged with no direction with what I actually wanted to do in my career. I grew up with a passion for writing and I constantly contemplated creating a platform to share my thoughts and help others dress appropriately for their body type and occasion. This was all put on the backburner when I decided to follow another passion of mine: travel.
My full-time job consists of helping and consulting teachers in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area to send their students on educational international tours. My job challenges me and I truly love it! I work with amazing teachers and co-workers who have the same vision and personal beliefs as I do: encourage students to see the world and help them become more independent and educated on other cultures and travel. I have been fortunate enough to have traveled quite a bit over the past year and a half, as well! Before I started working at EF Educational Tours, I had traveled around the United States and Mexico but had never been across the pond. My travels have taken me to 15 countries and counting! While I’ve always had a love for fashion, travel will forever be something I enjoy and that fulfills my curious, adventurous soul.
When I’m not busy sending students around the world, I enjoy spending my time with family, good friends, and my dog, Shay. She is a sweet Golden Retriever who is queen bee and diva of the house. On Saturdays in the fall, you’ll find me cheering for my Arkansas Razorbacks (win or lose…and we lose a lot!). This is my alma mater where I was involved in my sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, and was the Fashion Columnist and Editor-in-Chief of the Greek newspaper on campus.
I hope this platform helps you understand what styles and colors look best on you and help you find good quality clothing without breaking the bank! Follow me on Instagram (where I’m most active!) @shannon.n.jones
